16 Days To Road Trip 2009

Well here we are Saturday night, just over two weeks until we leave. It's been a horrible week. I came down with bronchitis and have been coughing my head off all week. Wayne is feeling bad now, although he isn't coughing like I was in the beginning.
Wayne called my doctor's office on Wednesday and had her order a Zpack for me. Wow is that stuff good. I've taken it now three times and it knocks it right out of you. I think it's called Azithrimycin, or Zpack. Not sure I have that exactly right, but that is close. Anyway, there are only three pills. You take them once a day for three days and voila! you are feeling better right away.
Ask your doctor about it, they are great. The first time I was given them was when I got bronchitis on our last road trip. We were in some little podunk town in Missouri and I was sick as a horse. Wayne asked the people at the desk in our hotel where was a hospital and he took me there. The doctor gave me the Zpack and in just a couple days I was on the mend.
Yes, we are leaving the affairs of the country in the capable hands of our new president and we are striking out in only 16 more days! Get Excited!!!
I'll tell you, if it weren't for Facebook I wouldn't know what any of my kids were doing! All from facebook, I see where Todd and Michelle went to the Dodger/Cub game at Dodger stadium the other night. Lisa has apparently ordered herself a new phone, a blackberry excuuuse me! She even for a time entertained the idea of driving all the way to Oakland from San Jose to retrieve it from FedEx so she could have it over the weekend. Turns out she has to wait until Monday after all. Kelly has been posting some really great pictures of past missionary trips to Zimbabwe, Haiti, Nicaragua and inner city LA. Thank goodness for Facebook, it keeps me posted on my kids and is so entertaining with those games and the farms!
Kelly called me the other day (on the phone, yes) and said Monday the kids are both in school. Josiah is in kindergarten and Caitlin is in second grade. Caitlin is now wearing glasses, I can't wait to see her in them. With a new one on the way, this is an exciting time for the Bakersfield Lowery's !!
It has been a pledge to myself that I will keep better notes and postings on this blog for this road trip than I did before. I want to be able to come home, read it over and relive our trip over and over again.
Goodnight for now........
